Our client is a multinational corporation that provides serviced office accommodation in business centres worldwide. Due to the continuing expansion of the business a position has become vacant within the North Asia region.
A Project Manager is urgently required to take the lead on multiple office roll out programs throughout the region. The successful candidate will act as a single point of coordination for the activities related to the building of all new business centers in the region. Working closely with the Development, Finance, Operations and Sales teams you will be expected to coordinate and manage the delivery of new centers across the North Asia region following specified design guidelines.
Key tasks:
- Work closely with the Development team in Hong Kong to establish the feasibility of building new centers in potential target buildings / cities.
- Assist in resolving legal issues related to building acquisition.
- Review specifications and agree scope of work with landlords, developers and JV partners.
- Develop and implement project strategies with key suppliers to take schemes through the full Project Cycle. Select, order, coordinate and administer all elements of the fit-out, furniture and equipment.
- Manage the effective transition from building site to business center.
- Prepare the capex budget in conjunction with the development team for each new project.
- Manage each new project to assure timely delivery of the Centre within budget to the quality standards required.
- Work with the Development, Operations and sales teams to design efficient layouts that will deliver successfully operating centers.
- The role will involve rigorous travelling to various countries within North Asia.
Core Skills:
- Educated to degree or diploma level and financially astute. The candidate needs to have a Quantity Surveyor background and or M&E background.
- Previous and minimum of 8 years experience in managing multiple projects, preferably in the area of property or accommodation.
- Highly effective interpersonal, communication and influencing skills (orally and in writing).
- Flexibility to accommodate frequently changing customer needs and changing workloads within the team.
- Demonstrable understanding of safety, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, power and office technology installations and the issues which effect building and architectural considerations within projects.
